Chapter 8 opens with the anthem “I was Glad” by Sir Hubert Parry. Written for Edward VII’s Coronation in 1902 it has been sung at every Coronation since. Parry also composed the hymn “Jerusalem” which ends Chapter 9. A CD including both is on
