Chapter 8 opens with the anthem “I was Glad” by Sir Hubert Parry. Written for Edward VII’s Coronation in 1902 it has been sung at every Coronation since. Parry also composed the hymn “Jerusalem” which ends Chapter 9. A CD including both is on

Magnificent!

A superbly informative introduction to this landmark, with excellent descriptions of the church and its history. The audio quality and the music are excellent. Perfect for armchair travelers as well as tourists.
